SimpleGPT – New Look

Looks like SimpleGPT is being sneaky and working on a new layout/look for the site.

It looks sleek, and it’s definitely very appealing. So much so that you should sign up right now and try some offers.

No official announcement yet, but I noticed that most of the site wouldn’t work, then a few minutes later half of it was new, and it just kept progressing.

For that matter it’s still being worked on — they actually got sneaky with it and changed it back to the old layout for now. They made sure to remove any references to the changes from their chat box. Who got a screenshot and brought the update to you? Yep, Free $krilla did.

I’ll try to post again after it’s finished and there’s an official announcement.

Everybody wants to know how to make money online. Money may not buy happiness but it buys food and a whole lot of fun stuff.

There is money to be made in so many different areas of the internet. Hosting, SEO, advertisements, and so many other ways.

The average person doesn’t have time to start a hosting company, or build up SEO status, they just want to pull in some extra spending money. Christmas is around the corner, and this is where a lot of people are going to be looking to make and spend extra cash.

If any of this sounds about right for you, I recommend checking out a few different types of sites. I recommend that you focus on only one of each type of site to get the best results from each.

This is the real deal. This isn’t that fake crap you find on the eBook sites, and you don’t have to pay to join.

First, check out a GPT site such as one of these three to see which one best suits your tastes:

- SimpleGPT — Instant payout at $1, PayPal and other payment options available (Amazon, eBay, etc.)

- CashPirate — Instant payout at $3, PayPal and other payment options available (Amazon, eBay, etc.)

- CashCrate — Cash (Check/Cheque) payout at $20, other prize types/options available (Amazon, Starbucks, etc.)

Second, check out a search and win site. This is great because everybody uses search engines, so why not get paid for it?

- SwagBucks — Search & Win option with multiple other ways to earn, and multiple prize options available (Amazon, eBay, and countless others…)

- ZoomBucks — Another Search & Win site with tons of prizes and ways to earn.

Third, check out a good survey site. I don’t mean the long, horrible surveys that never seem to end. This group has a great setup:

- InstantCashSweepstakes — You’re not going to get paid for every survey, but they’re quick and easy. You win at random, and you can win in the daily and 4-hour drawings. Cash out at $2, pays via PayPal.

- PaidViewpoint — Get paid for every survey. Cash out at $15, pays via PayPal.

Fourth, if you like music you should check out:

- HitPredictor — Get paid to listen to new music and give your opinion. Your opinion here actually counts, too. Various prizes available such as Amazon, music, and others. The store rotates fairly often.

Fifth, if you use an Android device, you should check out:

Getting Free Domains

Domain registration prices vary between registrars and the TLDs you choose (.com, .me, etc) but generally you can register a domain for about/around $10 for at least the first year. Forget that though – Get the domain registered for free!

Here’s how you do it:

1: Sign up for any GPT or Survey site that pays out in PayPal. Your best options in my opinion:
- CashPirate
- SimpleGPT
- Points4Rewards

2: Sign up for PayPal if you don’t already have it. It’s free!

3: Earn around $10 on the site of your choice and cash out/claim the cash (get paid to your PayPal account).

4: Go to NameCheap and purchase the new domain using your PayPal account.

If you followed the four steps above you will have successfully registered a new domain and it didn’t cost you anything.

How To Get Referrals

This is a post that I’ve brought out of the archives of ngwoosh.com (March 6, 2009) from when I kept up with this type of thing there. I’ve also edited out a lot of outdated information.

SwagBucks, SimpleGPT, ICS, CashPirate… whatever site you may be a member of, they all have one thing in common: referrals.

I’ve noticed a lot of people coming to my blog lately having searched for tips on getting referrals. I’ve also had a lot of people ask me about this in conversations. I’m not amazing; I don’t have a thousand referrals to each site I’m on, but I can tell you some great ways to get referrals and then the rest is up to you.

Start with people you know: Family, friends, neighbors, etc. — Just make sure that the people you’re referring don’t live in your household, as most sites allow for one member per household. Reading the site’s TOS is up to you.

Sometimes you’ll see offers for business cards, whether free or paid. You could do this and put together referral cards to hand out to people he knew. Get paid for an offer and get referrals from it. That’s a win!

You may also see offers for free/cheap t-shirts on GPT sites. You could use this to do something witty. “Ask me how I got this shirt!”

When talking to people, don’t shove it down their throat: Remember, you’re not selling cars, you’re just referring people. If somebody isn’t interested, shut up. Casually talk about it and see where the conversation goes.

Social Networking: Most people are members of social networking sites, or sites with a lot of interaction to them. Forums, Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, LiveJournal, etc. – Don’t spam your friends or the people you’re interacting with, but drop some info about these sites into your profile, or signature, and maybe make a comment here and there about how much you earned. Follow the rules no matter where you are, because if you spam or post your referral link where you aren’t supposed to (some forums have rules against referral links, for example) then you discredit yourself and the site that you’re linking to. Spamming will likely get you banned from the site you’re advertising as well.

If you’re active on YouTube and you make videos, or you’re interested in doing so, make sure to put a video together about the site(s) you’re interested in getting referrals for. People will view it, and people will join! Include your referral link in the video description.

Start a blog: There are several places to start a free blog, though wordpress.com does not allow blogs regarding these types of sites, so I recommend Blogger for free blogs. You can also look into getting a webhost and domain and starting a “self hosted” WordPress (or your CMS of choice) blog.

Start your blog about the site you’re trying to refer people to, or all of the sites you like and go from there. If you already have a blog, post about your sites!

Show proof! If you got paid by one of these sites you’re trying to refer people to, people like to know about it. I’m more likely to try a site that somebody can prove they’ve been paid by, and others are too.

Be creative! There are tons of ways to get referrals, and many ways that aren’t mentioned here. Maybe this will be useful to somebody, or maybe this will just sit in the archives.

I kept cashing out and forgetting to post anything, so I withdrew $1 just to screenshot it. ._.

Don’t Waste Time on Prize Live

Prize Live never replied to my emails (I sent two through the contact form and one straight to their email address). Is it a scam? Maybe. Is it legit and just ready to ban users without a reason? Possibly. If it’s legit I can say I don’t have any proof because I was banned when I requested payment. What I can prove is that my account is “on hold” with no explanation or reply from them, and no payment was ever made to me for my earnings. You can come up with your own conclusions from that.

If the owner of Prize Live ever bothers to contact me I’ll post an update, but I don’t expect it to happen.

There are some great GPT sites out there with truly instant PayPal payments, such as CashPirate and Points4Rewards.

10/22 Update: After waiting for over two weeks I’ve finally received a reply informing me that my account was placed on hold due to what “…seems to have been a bug…”. I never received payment and such a simple reply took a lot longer than it should have. I still have no proof that Prize Live is a legitimate website and I will continue to focus on sites that I do know to be legitimate.

SimpleGPT Improvements

Some major improvements are coming to SimpleGPT! Do you like INSTANT PayPal?! I sure do! So get this:

“In an effort to make SimpleGPT the BEST GPT site out there, we are going to implement Instant Paypal Payments starting in July. And the new minimum payout will be lowered to $5.00!!! Also, this was sent out as a follow-up message:

“I have been getting questions already (which I had hoped to avoid).

Yes, you may start the phone verification process now. It is not needed for June payments, but will be needed for ANY form of payment starting in July.

If your account is NOT verified, you will know when you try to cashout, starting in July. You will receive a message when you try to cashout that will state “your account must be verified in order to cashout” (with instructions on how to verify your account).

I will also try to create something that will show if you are verified or not on your account profile page (but that may take awhile before it’s in place).

In general, if your phone # that you call with matches the phone # on your account, you shouldn’t have any problems (assuming the rest of your profile information is complete & valid).
