Though this may be a great excuse to just toss a bunch of referral banners out there, I really am interested in knowing which banners are more interesting to you. Which one(s) catch your eye? Which one(s) are you more likely to click? Any other input?

When you pile all of these referral banners together, they all kind of jumble up and blend together. Does one stick out to you more than the others? Why?

Let’s also take that a step further. Visit some of the sites and tell me what you think. Are you a member of any of these? After visiting them, would you want to be?

Be sure to leave a comment with your input on ANYTHING about these sites and/or their banners! Your opinion really does matter.

I like for a referral banner to be clean with clear text, and being animated is ok sometimes (though I’m not a big fan of animated banners) so long as it is done well and looks good. A site’s banner is their representation out there on the web. Would you hand out business cards if they didn’t look good and give a good representation of who you are? No, or at least you shouldn’t. Banners are the same way!

What is SwagBucks? Is it a scam? Do they pay?

SwagBucks is a search site (results are by Google and Ask) where you win swagbucks (points/currency) that you can use to buy great items, such as books, amazon cards, shirts, autographed items, and so much more.

I’ve been using SwagBucks since around December of last year and since then I’ve received several Amazon gift cards, and the t-shirt you see in the picture.

Amazon cards and t-shirts don’t impress you? How about being able to search with bands, sports teams, tv channels such as Fox59 (Simpsons, Family Guy, and more), and so many more search sites through SwagBucks so that you can get specific prizes to those bands (etc)? There’s some pretty great stuff. Here’s a link to a post that I wrote a while back called SwagBucks Info that explains the multiple search sites and how it all works together.

The picture of me in a SwagBucks shirt not doing for you for proof? Check out Geek Dad’s Guide to Free Stuff, where you can see proof of one of the Amazon cards I’ve received. You may even find some other great sites that interest you while you’re there!

Is there any secret to winning? The best advice I can give you is to use SwagBucks just like you would a regular search engine. In my case, my regular search engine would be Google, so instead of searching Google directly I use SwagBucks. SwagBucks gives results by Google and Ask, so you still get the information you need!

Here are some other great ways to earn swagbucks:

- Refer your friends (You’ll get 100% of what they win, up to 100 swagbucks)
- Shop through SwagBucks (Shop through them and get 1 swagbuck per $5)
- Trade in your old cell phone! Amounts vary.
- Trade in your old video games and systems! Amounts vary.

SwagBucks is a legitimate search and win site (not a scam) and if you’re not a member, you’re missing out. Why? Think about this: How many times a day do you search the internet? And you’re getting paid nothing for it! So why not get some great stuff for doing what you already do?
